The Geophysical Institute of Israel (GII) is a state owned onshore applied geophysics service provider, specializing in the mapping and characterization of the sub-surface since its establishment in 1957. Uri Picciotto
CEO
Uri Picciotto was appointed CEO of the Geophysical Institute in July 2015. Since beginning his work at the Institute in 1989, he has held positions as senior observer, Head of Recording Department, and Director of Marketing. During international projects abroad, Uri served as technical manager and liaison between clients and the company.

Dr. Frieslander has over 45 years of international experience in seismic data acquisition and processing. Uri joined the Institute in 1980 as a seismic analyst in the data processing department. Since then, he has served as Senior Analyst, Deputy Head and Head of data processing division, Head of seismic data acquisition division, Deputy General Manager and finally 11.5 years as CEO of the Geophysical Institute.
Dr. Frieslander was appointed Head of Applied Geophysics Division in April 2017.

Mr. Shlomo brings over 20 years of experience to his position as data acquisition division manager. Amnon began his career at the Institute as a seismic Observer in 1986 and has since held several positions including Party Chief and Operations Manager in international seismic acquisition projects.
