Shallow Seismic investigation

Shallow seismic R & D is presently concentrated on the following:

  • Detailed mapping of the shallow subsurface structure below the sea bottom using reflection seismics
  • Estimating shear wave velocity distribution in the shallow subsurface below the sea bed using the surface wave methods
  • Modeling lateral variations in the surface wave dispersion patterns
  • Developing an integrated geophysical approach, including seismic reflection and TDEM, for studying various aquifer systems
  • Developing a multi-disciplinary integrated geophysical approach for studying the mechanism of sinkhole generation in the Dead Sea area
  • Developing the surface wave stacking method for mapping lateral shallow inhomogeneities
